Big Lives: Seattle

Our second pop up experience was hosted in a newly renovated Capitol Hill home in Seattle designed by iconic Pacific Northwest architect William J. Bain, Sr. Guests perused Big Lives’ collection framed by walls of windows overlooking Portage Bay, and toasted the holiday season at an original bar from the late 1930s.

The House

This classic moderne Capitol Hill home was designed in 1939 by famed Pacific Northwest architect William J. Bain, Sr. Just a year after completing the property, Bain partnered to design Yesler Terrace, the first racially integrated public housing development in the US. The house carries a legacy of commitment to community and civic well-being.
